How to lose weight and increase your energy and confidence without constant dieting.
If you are fed up with feeling like your energy is non-existent, seeing the constant up and down of your weight and generally feeling like life is permanently on sluggish mode then you might want to read on.
Does the thought of trying to go on yet another diet make you feel despondent? You put in all that effort and will power for the results and then when you stop, the weight piles back on along whilst your self esteem and confidence dips quicker than you can do your jeans zip up. Meet Jen (name changed for privacy) who has recently completed a 6-week programme with me. When Jen started with me, she was overweight, stressed, and exhausted. As a working single mum, she struggled with having a regular routine that gave her time to do things she enjoyed as well as not liking the way her body looked and felt. Her confidence was at a real low.
By week 2 her sugar and hunger cravings had completely gone.
By week 3 she was felt more confident in dealing with stressful situations and was feeling calmer and more in control of her life.
By week 4 she was doing more of what she loved doing.
By week 6, she had lost 8lbs and 1.5inches from her waist and was fitting into clothes she hadn’t been able to wear for months.

Jen didn’t need to radically change what she was eating, a simple change to breakfast saw her cravings disappear and her weight drop. She still eats chocolate daily, but her taste buds now crave really dark chocolate and she now dislikes eating sweet foods. She enjoys her food and knows the impact that certain foods can have on her weight, mood and energy so makes much more informed choices without giving things up.
Helping Jen get clear on what was really important to her, meant that we could start to create a routine that factored in some fun stuff that she loved doing such as Park Run and hot yoga which have contributed to the inches coming down. She now also has personalised strategies that work for her in dealing with stress so that she feels calmer and more in control of her life which has boosted her confidence.
This wasn’t a one size fits all programme but one that took into account Jen’s circumstances so that all the information, tools and support were tailored to what Jen actual needs and her goals. This was a collaborative partnership which meant Jen was able to do things on her terms with support and accountability to motivate and help her achieve her goals.
